This classic Spanish Sangria is a refreshing, fruity drink perfect for any gathering. Made with red wine, brandy, fresh citrus, and a touch of sweetness, it’s the traditional cocktail from Spain that everyone will enjoy.

- 1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine (Tempranillo, Garnacha, or Merlot)
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or triple sec)
- 2 tbsp sugar or honey (optional)
- 1 orange, sliced into rounds
- 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
- 1 lime, sliced into rounds
- 1 apple, diced
- 1–2 cups sparkling water or soda (optional, for fizz)
- Ice cubes, for serving
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, brandy, orange liqueur, and sugar or honey. Stir until dissolved.
- Add orange, lemon, lime slices, and diced apple.
- Refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours, or overnight, to let flavors meld.
- Before serving, add sparkling water or soda if desired.
- Serve chilled over ice, garnished with extra fruit slices.
Notes
For a sweeter variation, add a splash of orange juice or lemonade. You can also include berries for extra color and flavor.
