Description

A refreshing and fruity summer sangria made with red wine, citrus, fresh berries, and a splash of brandy. Perfect for parties, BBQs, and hot days!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750ml) dry red wine
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur (such as Triple Sec or Cointreau)
  • 2 tbsp sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 12 cups chilled soda water or lemon-lime soda (to top)
  • Ice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, brandy, orange liqueur, and sugar (or honey). Stir until sugar dissolves.
  2. Add sliced orange, lemon, lime, apple, and berries. Mix gently.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (up to overnight) to let the flavors meld.
  4. Before serving, top with soda water or lemon-lime soda for a fizzy finish.
  5. Serve over ice, garnished with extra citrus slices if desired.

Notes

For a sweeter sangria, use a fruity red wine like Merlot or Garnacha. For a drier version, choose Cabernet Sauvignon or Tempranillo.
