Description

A cozy and refreshing sangria perfect for fall, made with apple cider, white or red wine, crisp apples, citrus, and a touch of cinnamon.


Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750ml) white or red wine
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur (Triple Sec or Cointreau)
  • 12 tbsp maple syrup or sugar (optional)
  • 2 apples, thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 12 cinnamon sticks
  • Ice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, combine wine, apple cider, brandy, orange liqueur, and maple syrup (if using). Stir until blended.
  2. Add sliced apples, orange, lemon, and cinnamon sticks.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight, to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Serve over ice, making sure each glass has some fruit slices.
  5. Optional: sprinkle a little ground cinnamon on top before serving.

Notes

For a sparkling twist, add a splash of club soda or sparkling water just before serving. Frozen apple slices can act as natural ice cubes.
